Mission and Purpose Established in 1971, the Centre for Youth Care has been a cornerstone of community-based youth care, dedicated to supporting and empowering vulnerable youth. Our mission is to provide safe, nurturing, and inclusive environments where children and youth can access the support they need to thrive.
Programs and Services For over five decades, the Centre for Youth Care has operated community-based youth care homes, remaining deeply connected to its roots while adapting to the evolving needs of the community. Today, we manage a robust network of 11+ youth care homes, a youth rapid response shelter, youth supportive housing programs, and comprehensive case management and outreach services. These programs are designed to address the diverse challenges faced by children and youth, fostering stability, growth, and independence. We also collaborate with organizations like CYC Net and Roots Youth Care Inc. to enhance our offerings and ensure impactful services.
Commitment to Quality and Compliance The Centre for Youth Care is funded by the Department of Social Development and operates in full adherence to the Child and Youth Wellbeing Act and the Child Care Residential Centre Service Standards. These guidelines ensure our commitment to excellence across all facets of our services, affirming the quality of care we provide.
